Moscow is quite expensive city and the first thing you need to know – don’t take the taxi on the street. It is very important, most of that drivers are not Russian and they hardly can speak English. But the worst thing – they can rob you. The normal price for the taxi from airport is 2000-4000 rubles. And please don’t forget about traffic, especially to Domodedovo airport (once it took me 4,5 hours to ride from airport to the city center). Usually the taxi can take you 1-2 hours, for example. Therefore, I advise you to have a couple of extra hours when you go to the airport.

Finally, enter your bank card details in advance in the application to avoid excessive fees.

AEROEXPRESS

Another way to get to Moscow from the airport is aeroexpress. The website you need to use: https://aeroexpress.ru/en/aero.html. The aeroexpress goes every 30-60 minutes from 5 am to 1 am (check the schedule on the website).

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

In the metro you will find an English translation of the stations, but also you can use Yandex Metro app (English version). It will help you not to get lost.
